McCain campaign still breaking the law?

This is very suspicious. Dozens of low-income people who have never registered to vote and are apathetic about politics are suddenly making the maximum legal donation to the McCain campaign. The money is flowing through a McCain operative and oil trader named Harry Sargeant. "Both Sargeant and the donors were vague when asked to explain how Sargeant persuaded them to give away so much money."

It doesn't take a Beltway insider to come up with the most likely explanation: Sargeant is using ordinary people to launder money from the fat cats, no doubt for a few extra dollars under the table. I'm glad the Washington Post is publicizing this, but will it be investigated officially? Of course not - every nook and cranny of the federal government has been corrupted by Karl Rove's sleaze machine. Hence the FEC's inexplicable apathy in the face of McCain's already blatant violation of campaign finance law.

I guess this is what McCain means when he claims to be a maverick - he's a criminal, plain and simple.
